Roof top home extension
Gianni Versacestraat in Rotterdam
The last house of the row was originally designed by ir. bart duvekot architecten as triangular volume following the urban fabric with a flat roof. The family was in need of two extra sleeping rooms for the daughters and asked us to come with a solution that respects the original architecture. We proposed to simply stretch the gabled roof up to the triangular shape and fill the end facade completely with windows.
Location: Rotterdam | Program: design of a roof extension with an extra sleeping room in existing row house | Client: private family | Architect: Menno Trautwein | Structural engineer Jean Paul Koster | Period: 2018-2019 | Phase: completed
