Four in a row
roof extensions Wijttenbachstraat
On a 5 floors high apartment building designed by Bart Duvekot Architecten in the nineties, we designed four attached roof extensions for the families living in the maisonettes below. Due to the zoning plan, the front façade had to jump backwards following the sightline from street level, which we translated into diagonal privacy walls between the glass staircases and roof terraces, resulting in a strong architectural volume.
